There is an unpleasant phrase some agents use – ‘Buyers are Liars’ – since so often a Buyer will purchase something far different than what they said they wanted. Not only is the phrase disrespectful to their clients, it is also naive. In our experience, a buyer that purchases something out of left field is simply one whose agent did not dig deep enough into what they truly needed versus what they said they wanted. We humbly ask you to be open to the idea that what you think you want may not be truly what you need to reach your goals.
Just like in relationships, your ‘Good on Paper’ house may be completely wrong for you. The two bedroom plus office cottage may be the EXACT perfect house despite not having the three bedrooms that you thought were needed. Our job is to help you dig deeper into how you are going to use your house and grow with it over time. We can often find areas in which being flexible on your search may yield better results than you’d expect.
