A quick look at what is being built, torn down or proposed for the coming year.

Capstone Cottages

Capstone Cottages by the NoCoHomeTeamThis Student Housing project  located on the northeast corner of Lincoln and Lemay (behind Bank of Colorado) has been in the works for a few years now but it looks to be approved and moving forward toward a 2017 completion. The proposed 201 single-family dwelling units for a total of 888 bedrooms and 738 parking spaces would be the second largest student housing project in North Fort Collins (Aspen Heights with 221 units is the largest). Capstone plans to run buses directly to CSU. More info via the Coloradoan.

Foothills Mall Multi-Family Plan

Foothills Mall Apartments by the NoCoHomeTeamThe development of 402 units in 18 apartment buildings on an 11.93 acre site along the four blocks on the North side of the Foothills Mall and the entire Eastern edge is nearing approval with the submission of its Final Plan. The proposed buildings will be a mix of two, three and four-story.

College Eight Thirty Development Project

Early stage hearings are underway for the approval of a four-story building College and Locust across from CSU that will include retail/commercial space on the ground level and 34 apartment units above with 27 surface parking units.

Good, bad or otherwise, it will be exciting to see how each development shapes Future Fort Collins. Stay tuned for monthly updates on progress.
