Lake Loveland
Lake Loveland (subject of the 1950’s Guy Lombardo hit “there’s a Lovely Lake in Loveland”), was created in 1893 out of a swampy depression known as Hays Lake.
Today, Lake Loveland remains the ‘gem’ of the town — the center of activity and pleasure for all of Loveland and its visitors.
The South Shore offers fishing and a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains. North Lake Park borders the lake’s north side and features a swim beach, fishing, park with train, playgrounds, tennis courts, raquetball courts, basketball courts, picnicking, softball fields, an ampitheater, and general outdoor fun.
