I don’t typically have much time nor motivation to blog, but I was inspired today after my experience with this AWESOME company. I have been working on determining a “pet odor” in the lower level of my rental property. I hired the Service Team to clean, deodorize and protect the carpet about two weeks ago in hopes of mitigating the awful “wet dog” smell that permeates the basement of my property. I have new renters moving in very soon and I don’t want ANYONE to have to live with that smell.
The Service Team of Professionals came out and did the work, but a few days later the smell was still there so I called back and explained that it still smelled and I needed help identifying the source of the issue. I was immediately given to the owner, John Murphy, to discuss my options. I was impressed that the owner wanted to help me figure out what could be going on. He was prepared to stand behind the work they did and took it a step further to meet me out at the property and troubleshoot what was going on.
He met me at the property himself this morning (after being out all night working on the flooding issues after last night’s hail storm). He could have cancelled a simple consultation with me that was not bringing him a new stream of income to get a few extra hours of sleep. John showed up on time, and with a smile on his face, to help me try to identify this horrible smell. He went into every room and put his nose to the carpet and even used a black light to see if he could find pet stains. After his assessment he said that he didn’t think the odor was entirely from the carpet, and that it was mostly from the walls and possibly the furnace. However, he still wanted to help. He insisted that he deodorize the carpet again and “odor bomb” the entire unit to remove any further smell. He took it one step further and refused to let me pay him.
It isn’t getting something for free that motivates me to write this post, but the fact that the owner himself cared enough about helping me fix the problem that he was willing to do whatever it takes to make a happy customer.
In the hour and a half that he was at my property I learned about his journey into this business and his passion for customer service and making sure people feel well taken care of. I hope the smell goes away after the odor bomb, but at this point I couldn’t have asked for a better experience from Service Team of Professionals and would highly recommend them to anyone that has odor, water, fire, or mold damage.
