For the Real Estate Buyer, a For Sale By Owner or FSBO can provide additional inventory if they are struggling to find the right home. They can be a good option, but do not fall prey to the fallacy that purchasing a FSBO home necessarily offers a great deal or that buying without a Realtor will save you money.
FSBO homes are almost universally overpriced and a buyer without a Buyers agent is vulnerable to purchasing a home without having anyone to ensure that the sale is done legally and that their rights are protected.
We often sell FSBO’s and are happy to do so, but always ask that we be able to make contact with the Seller first to ensure that they will work with us.
